Anticorpi XL Network is the Italian network focusing on young auteur dance.
Founded in 2007, it currently involves 38 structures in 16 regions and represents a concrete and significant example of promotion of the new generation of Italian choreographers. It is a network of operators who share the conception and implementation of projects through the networking of individual resources. Anticorpi XL takes advantage of the organisational and financial coordination of Cantieri Danza Association, recognised by the Ministry of Culture since 2015 as the leader of the Network operating within the field of "Transversal actions for promotion - generational change projects".
Anticorpi XL proposes an articulated range of projects aiming at promoting the mobility of choreographers, responding to their needs in the different phases of their professional growth: from beginners looking for training and tutoring experiences to authors who already stood out for their defined artistic profile and now wish to experiment with the most complex processes of creation.
A mix of different profiles and tasks highlighting each individual feature, making it possible to create a diversified offer for artists and moments of meeting and confrontation to know and get to know each other, to learn and make mistakes, where the right to get wrong is an essential factor for the artistic growth of the new generations.
In addition to Vetrina della giovane danza d’autoreeXtra, core action of the Network since it involves all partners, Anticorpi XL also promotes Nuove Traiettorie, a training project for young authors; CollaborAction, which selects and supports the project of an emerging choreographer granting residences and an economic prize; CollaborAction kids, which supports the choreographic research for the younger generation; Prove d'Autore, which brings together emerging choreographers with ensembles of academically trained dancers coming from Balletto di Roma and MMContemporary Dance Company; ResiDance, dedicated to residence projects, and Danza Urbana XL, which offers opportunities for programming and visibility addressed to creations designed for unconventional locations, immersing themselves within the urban landscape.
