Alessandra Ruggeri - Puglia
Alessandra Ruggeri inizia a studiare danza classica e contemporanea all’età di 6 anni in Sicilia. Si appassiona nel tempo appassiona all’Hip Hop e alla House Dance. Si forma e specializza nel 2011 presso il NOHA – Nation of Human Arts, un percorso di contaminazione tra danze urbane e danza contemporanea. Nel 2018 si diploma all’UDA Urban Dance Academy di Roma, specializzandosi in House Dance, Hip Hop e Laboratorio coreografico. Perfeziona le sue tecniche all’estero, tra Bruxelles e Parigi, approfondendo le tecniche di Floorwork e Contact Improvisation.
Dal 2018 danza nella DaCru Dance Company di Marisa Ragazzo e Omid Ighaní e collabora a vari progetti indipendenti.
Nel 2022 arriva in finale al Concorso Internazionale di Burgos (Spagna) come co-coreografa e danzatrice del passo a due The Conversation e come coreografa emergente al Premio Cerati (Italia). Con lo stesso lavoro si esibisce in due tour in Spagna a marzo e aprile 2023. Coreografa e fondatrice di MISANGA Dance Collective dal 2023, crea per le due danzatrici Anya Pozza e Kyda Pozza HÀ-BI-TUS, performance vincitrice del Primo Premio in composizione coreografica all’evento GubbioDanzWeek e il Premio Produzione. Con lo stesso lavoro, nel 2024 partecipa come ospite al FUTURO Festival al Teatro Brancaccio di Roma, è finalista al RIDCC Rotterdam International Dance Choreography Competition, selezionata per la Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra 2024, finalista al Premio Prospettiva Danza Teatro Padova, dove ottiene la menzione del pubblico e una residenza coreografica presso Scenario Pubblico di Roberto Zappalà.

Alessandra Ruggeri began studying classical dance at the age of 6 in Sicily and later contemporary dance. She then developed a passion for Hip Hop and House Dance. In 2011 she trained and specialized at NOHA – Nation of Human Arts, a course blending urban and contemporary dance. In 2018 she graduated from the UDA Urban Dance Academy in Rome, specializing in House Dance, Hip Hop and Choreographic Laboratory. She refined her techniques abroad, in Brussels and Paris, deepening her skills in Floorwork and Contact Improvisation. Since 2018 she has danced with the DaCru Dance Company of Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighaní and has collaborated on various independent projects. In 2022 she was a finalist at the International Competition of Burgos (Spain) as a co-choreographer and dancer of the duet The Conversation and as an emerging choreographer at the Premio Cerati (Italy). With the same work she performed in two tours in Spain in March and April 2023. As the choreographer and founder of MISANGA Dance Collective since 2023 she created the performance HÀ-BI-TUS for dancers Anya Pozza and Kyda Pozza which won the First Prize in choreographic composition at the GubbioDanzWeek event and the Production Prize. With this work, in 2024, she participated as a guest at FUTURO Festival at the Teatro Brancaccio in Rome, was a finalist at the RIDCC Rotterdam International Dance Choreography Competition, was selected for Vetrina giovane danza d'autore eXtra by Network Anticorpi XL, was a finalist at the Prospettiva Danza Teatro Padova Prize where she received the audience mention and a choreographic residency at Scenario Pubblico by Roberto Zappalà. Selected for CICBUNY Certamen de Danza in Spain.
