Gianni Notarnicola - Puglia

Gianni Notarnicola, nato nel 1996 a Monopoli, ha danzato per l’Avshalom Pollak Dance Theatre e si è unito al Batsheva Ensemble nel 2019 eseguendo opere di Ohad Naharin, Noa Zuk, Nadav Zelner e Sharon Eyal. Nel 2021 si è unito alla Batsheva Dance Company, presentando in anteprima la sua prima creazione come collaboratore insieme a Ohad Naharin, Ariel Cohen e i ballerini MOMO.
Nel 2018 ha debuttato come coreografo con DAME e successivamente ha creato il duetto LA BATTAGLIA con il violoncellista Eilon Damari. Ha collaborato inoltre con Billy Barry presentando in anteprima i loro duetti B.O.A.T.S e G.O.A.T.S al Tel Aviv Dance Festival nel 2022 e 2023. Nel marzo 2024 ha vinto il secondo premio per la coreografia e il premio finale scelto dal pubblico al 28° International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival di Stoccarda con il suo solo KAMA.

Gianni Notarnicola, born in 1996 in Monopoli, Italy, has danced for Avshalom Pollak Dance Theatre and joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2019 performing works of Ohad Naharin, Noa Zuk, Nadav Zelner and Sharon Eyal. He later joined the Batsheva Dance Company in 2021, premiering his first creation as a collaborator together with Ohad Naharin, Ariel Cohen and the dancers, MOMO. He has danced for the Batsheva Dance Company from 2021 to 2024 performing works by Ohad Naharin worldwide. In 2018 he debuted as a choreographer with DAME and later on created the duet performance LA BATTAGLIA with cellist Eilon Damari. Additionally, Gianni collaborated with Billy Barry premiering their duets B.O.A.T.S and G.O.A.T.S at the Tel Aviv Dance Festival in 2022 and 2023. In March 2024 he has won the 2nd Prize for Choreography and the Final Public’s choice award at the 28th International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival Stuttgart with his solo performance KAMA.
