Roberta Maimone - Paesi Bassi
Roberta Maimone è un’artista italiana attualmente residente nei Paesi Bassi. Durante la sua formazione come danzatrice al D.A.F. di Roma, lavora con Jiri Pokorny, Marcos Morau, Lukas Timulak, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Thomas Noone e Carolina Mancuso, incontri che contribuiscono significativamente alla sua crescita, fornendo una piattaforma per l’esperimento e lo sviluppo del suo distintivo approccio artistico chiamato MEM.
Dopo il suo primo lavoro ENFANTS, in collaborazione con Roberta Riontino e vincitore del bando Danza Urbana XL 2023, fonda Memic Project, progetto interdisciplinare che unisce danza, teatralità, elementi visivi e sonori. Il cuore del progetto è il metodo MEM, da lei sviluppato, che esplora come i personaggi dei cartoni animati possano esprimere emozioni autentiche attraverso forme artistiche, creando così un legame profondo con il pubblico.
Memic Project esplora temi profondi come l’identità, i traumi e le lotte umane universali, utilizzando umorismo, fantasia, sogni e realtà per trasportare il pubblico in mondi emozionanti e ricchi di significato.
Il suo lavoro ALEX è selezionato per la Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra 2023.
Oltre alle sue performance, Roberta condivide il suo metodo innovativo attraverso workshop e lezioni in tutta Europa.

Roberta Maimone is an Italian artist based in the Netherlands. During her training as a dancer at D.A.F. in Rome, encounters with influential artistic figures such as Jiri Pokorny, Marcos Morau, Lukas Timulak, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Thomas Noone and Carolina Mancuso significantly contributed to her artistic growth, providing a platform for experimenting and developing her distinctive artistic approach known as MEM. Roberta founded "Memic Project," an interdisciplinary initiative that blends dance, theatricality, visual elements, and sound to create engaging experiences. At the heart of the project is her developed method, MEM, which explores how cartoon characters can express authentic emotions through artistic forms, thereby establishing a deep connection with the audience. "Memic Project" delves into profound themes such as identity, trauma, and universal human struggles, using humor, fantasy, dreams, and reality to transport audiences into emotionally rich and meaningful worlds. Productions like Wonder, Love and ALEX, selected for Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra 2023, are renowned for their deep narrative and ability to resonate emotionally with viewers. Each performer brings a personal and unique exploration, with the inclusion of humor adding depth and complexity to the artistic experience, leaving audiences with a bittersweet sensation.
Roberta's work has been featured in prestigious events such as NederlandsDansDagen 23 and the International Choreography Competition Hannover 2024, affirming her impact in the contemporary dance scene. In addition to her performances, Roberta shares her innovative method through workshops and classes across Europe continuing to explore the depths of human emotion and fantasy with a passionate and dedicated approach.
